Zomato Q3 Results Overview (Financial Year 2024-25)

On January 20, 2025, Zomato announced its financial results for the third quarter (Q3) of the financial year 2024-25. The results showed a sharp decline in net profit, despite significant revenue growth.

Key Financial Highlights:

  • Net Profit Decline:
    • Zomato's net profit dropped by 57% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹59 crore, compared to ₹138 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year (Q3 FY2023-24). The decline is attributed to higher operational expenses, particularly related to the expansion of its quick commerce business, Blinkit.
  • Revenue Growth:
    • Revenue for Q3 surged by 64% YoY, reaching ₹5,404 crore, up from ₹3,288 crore in Q3 of FY2023-24. This increase reflects strong demand for food delivery services and Zomato’s continued expansion efforts.
  • Sequential Performance (Compared to Q2 FY2024-25):
    • On a quarter-on-quarter basis:Net profit declined by 66% from ₹176 crore in Q2 FY2024-25.
    • Revenue grew by 13%, up from ₹4,799 crore in Q2 FY2024-25.
